From Whence and Whither, Oh Ahmadinejad?

In addition to paying his respect, it seems that the wise Iranian President, Holocaust denier, Columbia Univ. speaker, and radical Islamist, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to enlighten us with his vast intellect.

Allahpundit at Hot Air reports that Ahmadinejad wanted to use the opportunity to discuss the ‘root causes’ of the 9/11 attacks, had he been permitted to visit Ground Zero.

Unless Mr. Ahmadinejad knows the whereabouts of top al-Qaida leaders, I suggest he keep his big mouth shut.

This might be a problem, though…

according to Middle East Online, UK Iran has dubbed the Islamic fundamentalist the “Socrates of the Third Millenium.”

“Ahmadinejad reasons and discusses exactly as Socrates did in ancient Greece, by disarming other speakers and through his sharp reasoning.”

Now, if I’m not mistaken, Mr. Ahmadinejad, when the people of Athens found Socrates guilty of worshipping false gods and corrupting the youth, Socrates was man enough to drink his hemlock. The question is, when Iranis find Ahmadinejad guilty of purging Iranians with dissenting voices in the name of Khomeini’s “Islamic Cultural Revolution,” will Ahmadinejad then act as Socrates did?
