Umm… Hey, angry Muslims! Isn’t this guy giving Islam a bad name?

Yousef al-Khattab, who runs RevolutionMuslim.com from his home in Queens, told FOX News that he also wants the U.S. to embrace Islam and Sharia Law, which prohibits alcohol and can include stoning to death or severe flogging for pre-marital sex and adultery.

But that’s restrictive, violent, and Draconian, it seems to me that Yousef is confused and is portraying Islam in a negative light:

On any given day, log on to al-Khattab’s site and a host of startling images appear:

— The Statue of Liberty, with an ax blade cutting through her side;

— Video mocking the beheading of American journalist Daniel Pearl, entitled “Daniel Pearl I am Happy Your Dead :) “;

— Video of a puppet show lampooning U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq;

— The latest speech from Sheikh Abdullah Faisal, an extremist Muslim cleric convicted in the UK and later deported for soliciting the murder of non-Muslims.

Even more surprising is that al-Khattab runs his site from his home in Queens, New York.

And, because al-Khattab enjoys the First Amendment right to freedom of speech, all the authorities can do is watch.

Surely, Iranis and Afghanis are just as, nay, more outraged by this negative portrayal of Islam, than they were with Fitna.

No?

Why not?

Here’s Colmes’ conversation with the guy. That’s right, even Colmes thinks this guy is a p.o.s. and it’s easy to see why after he concludes that the only ‘Jewish blood’ he has is ‘on his hands.’

    “Yousef is confused”

    No, it’s more like he’s infected.

    It’s strange, though; he’s the second American Jew I’ve heard about to join the Apostasy. Mayhaps some element of self-loathing is involved?

    Me too. It seems to me that, to use Sergei’s word, Yousef is “infected” and his deviant interpretation of Islam is much like that portrayed by Geert Wilders.

    My question, though, is:

    Why isn’t the ummah in an uproar about videos produced by extremists like HAMAS and Yousef here?

    Probably because Yousef is just some cab driver with a bunch of nutty ideas and an internet connection.

    As for Hamas, I suspect that it’s because of the unwillingness to attack one’s own that I’ve discussed previously. It also probably has something to do with the fact that it’s difficult to get worked up about something that isn’t new, a sort of “what have you done to me lately?” By analogy. it’s been ages since Berkeley last had an anti-war protest (except for the one the city council stirred up), but that doesn’t mean that nobody there has a problem with it.
