At least he will have a chance. The Bush administration’s not even trying, they apparently think that one day Meshaal and his cohorts will spontaneously convert to Jainism and become friendly vegan pacifists, and they don’t need to do squat. Reality doesn’t work that way.

But that doesn’t change the fact that they are also the de facto government of the Gaza Strip. Whether or not they’re nice people has nothing to do with whether or not they’re relevant. By means of comparison, the North Koreans are the most evil people on the planet, but nobody thinks that we can disarm them by ignoring them.

But that doesn’t change the fact that they are also the de facto government of the Gaza Strip. Whether or not they’re nice people has nothing to do with whether or not they’re relevant.
