The occupation of Iraq by Iran, that is:
CAIRO (AFP) – An Iraqi Sunni delegation on a visit to Cairo on Wednesday urged Arab countries to act against what it called the “Iranian occupation” of Iraq.
“We would like a common Arab position to save Iraq and its people …(in the face of) the Iranian occupation,” Sheikh Majid Abdel Razzak al-Ali Suleiman said after a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit.
“Such an Arab position, led by Egypt, is necessary to weaken Iran’s role in Iraq, because if Tehran occupies this country, it will occupy other Arab countries too,” said the head of the Dulaim tribe, which is concentrated mainly in Anbar province, west of Baghdad.
Sunni tribes from Anbar, a onetime stronghold of the anti-US insurgency, have recently allied themselves with US troops against Al-Qaeda militants, while keeping their distance from the Baghdad government dominated by Shiites.
The delegation also called on Arab countries to re-open their missions in Baghdad “so that the territory is not left to Iran.”
Suleiman said that all Iraqis, whether from north or south, “are ready to guarantee Arab diplomats’ security.”
For his part, Abul Gheit said his country was seriously considering sending a security mission to Iraq in order to assess conditions for re-opening an embassy in Iraq, according to his spokesman Hossam Zaki.
Gee-whiz, didn’t these folks get the memo?

John Bolton, America’s ex-ambassador to the United Nations, has called for US air strikes on Iranian camps where insurgents are trained for war in Iraq.
Mr Bolton said that striking Iran would represent a major step towards victory in Iraq. While he acknowledged that the risk of a hostile Iranian response harming American’s overseas interests existed, he said the damage inflicted by Tehran would be “far higher” if Washington took no action.
Okay, apologists and Leftists, let’s hear how Bolton’s suggestion is “evil,” “war-mongering,” and how he’s a “neo-con.” Of course, since Iraqis themselves are worried about what they have dubbed an Irani occupation… could that mean that Bolton knows what he is talking about?

Sheesh Konservo, could you possibly be more moronic? I get it, you put Israel’s interests ahead of our own, which is bad enough, but the lame-brained Mid-East policies of this adminstration are putting both countries in greater peril. I know this seems counter-intuitive, but when Israel bombs other countries nuclear facilities, they are actually increasing the chance that nuclear weapons will be used against them. If Syria, Saudi Arabia, or Iran want the bomb badly enough, Pakistan will be able to help them out.
